Riders of any level: 60.4 km with 44 m of climbing means no sustained gradients, making it suitable for first-timers at the distance as well as fast group riding.
A flat 60.4 km loop through Dubai, from Al Thanyah past the Burj Khalifa district and back along the Jumeirah side, with just 44 m of climbing.
The loop starts in Al Thanyah 3, drops to its lowest point of -3 m at 2.8 km and runs north-east through Al Sufouh 1 at 4.4 km. From there it strings together the coastal suburbs: Umm Suqeim 3 at 7.6 km, Umm Suqeim 2, Umm Suqeim and Umm Suqeim 1 by 11.7 km, then Al Safa, Jumeirah 3 and Jumeirah Island 2 at 14.9 km. The middle section turns inland towards the city centre, reaching Business Bay at 19 km and the Burj Khalifa district at 20.2 km, then Trade Centre 1, Al Satwa and Al Bada'a clustered around 24.3 km. The high point of the whole route, all of 10 m, comes at 28.6 km, close to Al Safa 1 and Al Quoz 1 at 29.6 km. Just under half the total gain, 48%, falls in the first half, so the profile is effectively level throughout. The return runs back through Trade Centre 2 at 35.4 km and Trade Centre at 36.2 km, then Al Wasl, Jumeirah and Jumeirah 2 by 41.9 km. A long final stretch brings the route through Al Sufouh 2 at 57.2 km before closing the loop at 60.4 km.
