Suited to riders of any level looking for a near-flat 47.4 km loop with negligible climbing.
A flat 47.4 km loop from Dubai out past Mugatrah, with just 62 m of climbing and a high point of 71 m.
The loop leaves Dubai and rises gently over the opening third, reaching the route's high point of 71 m at 9.3 km. Roughly 45% of the day's modest 62 m of climbing comes in the first half, which tells you most of what there is to know about the gradient here: the changes are measured in tens of metres, not hundreds. From the high point the road eases down towards the lowest ground on the loop, 25 m at 29.5 km, before passing the suburb of Mugatrah at 31.7 km. This is the far side of the circuit, and the return leg runs back towards the start with no climbs of note. The final kilometres bring the only listed services: Spicy Village Restaurant and a drinking water point, both at 46.3 km, about a kilometre from the finish. With a total of 47.4 km and a spread of only 46 m between the highest and lowest points, the loop is one to ride at a steady rhythm rather than in bursts.
