An 83 km ride with only 42 m of climbing, so it suits any rider comfortable with the distance rather than with hills.
A flat 83 km loop through Dubai, running the coastal suburbs to Deira and the corniche before turning back through the city centre.
The loop starts in Al Thanyah 1 and heads north-east along the coastal side of the city, passing Al Sufouh 1 at 4.6 km and the Umm Suqeim suburbs between 7.7 km and 11.5 km, where most of the cafés and restaurants on the route are clustered. The Jumeirah suburbs follow in sequence, then Al Hudaiba and Dubai Maritime City at 22.6 km and Al Shindagha at 25.1 km, close to the route's high point of just 39 m at 26.2 km. Beyond the creek the road runs out through Al Baraha, Abu Hail and Al Waheda to Al Hamriya Port at 37.2 km, then turns onto Corniche Deira at 40.1 km. Deira and Al Ras come next, with the centre of Dubai reached at 43.3 km, roughly the halfway mark. The return leg threads the inland districts — Karama, Oud Metha, Al Kifaf and Al Jaffiliya — before rejoining the coast at Jumeirah Bay at 61.8 km. From there it is a steady run back through Al Sufouh 2 and Al Thanyah 3, dropping to the route's low point of 7 m at 80.6 km. Total climbing is 42 m, two thirds of it in the first half.
