Suits riders of any level: 57.6 km with only 36 m of climbing makes this an easy, essentially flat day.
A flat 57.6 km point-to-point across Dubai, from the desert edge of the city to Palm Jumeirah, with just 36 m of climbing.
The ride begins in Dubai and reaches its high point of 111 m as early as 5.3 km, which is as much elevation as the route ever offers. A restaurant and a drinking water point at 10.1 km mark the last services for a long while, and from there the road runs on through open outskirts, passing Al Yalayis 3 at 24.4 km. Only 36% of the day's very modest 36 m of climbing falls in the first half, so the profile is essentially level throughout. From around 36 km the route threads the southern suburbs in quick succession: Al Hebiah 2, Wadi Al Safa 6, Al Hebiah 1 and Al Barsha South 3, with a restaurant at 38.7 km and a fuel station at 42.2 km. Through Al Barsha South 1, Al Quoz Industrial 4, Al Barsha 2 and Al Quoz Industrial 3 the density of restaurants and cafés rises sharply. The last 10 km cross Umm Al Sheif, Al Barsha 1, Al Sufouh 1, Al Thanyah 1 and 3 and Al Sufouh 2 before dropping onto Nakhlat Jumeira at 56.6 km, where the route touches its low point of -14 m, close to The View at The Palm at 56 km.
